UPDATE 8/26/21: Unfortunately, we have had to cancel our rendezvous for 2021. Registered attendees have been contacted about refunds. Original text is as follows:
----------
We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a modified version of our Ranger Tugs & Cutwater Boats Factory Rendezvous this year in Roche Harbor from September 9-12, 2021.
This year’s Factory Rendezvous will have a new look, but the goals are the same, to have fun on our Ranger Tugs and Cutwaters and to spend time with friends. We really missed seeing everyone last year and we’re thrilled to reconnect!
We are introducing two changes worth noting to the event format for 2021. First, instead of large group dinners in the tent, we will be hosting happy hour on the dock and a special welcome party happy hour in one of Roche Harbor’s beautiful venues.
Secondly, although we will have customer service representatives on the dock to mingle and answer questions, there will not be a customer service desk or parts desk at the rendezvous this year. Our representatives will not be able to work on boats during the rendezvous so any repairs will need to be scheduled before or after the event. If you need spare parts, please contact our parts department and we can arrange to have those shipped directly to you.
This year’s rendezvous has a Hawaiian Luau theme. Wear your favorite Hawaiian Luau gear to happy hour on Saturday because there will be judges roaming the dock to award prizes for best-dressed! There will also be prizes for the best-decorated boat (judging takes place Saturday from noon-3:30pm).
The event schedule will be slightly different this year, but you can expect all the same fun events to take place. We are continuing our “Learning Center” series of informational talks. The cornhole tournament will be as fierce as ever, the fishing and crabbing derbies are going to happen, and the scavenger hunt will be back this year (with a fun new twist)! USCG Aux will be on-site to provide vessel exams, we will have 2022 Ranger Tugs and Cutwater Boats on display for you to tour and we’re working with Kevin from Roche Harbor to put together a golf tournament (more info coming).
You’ll want to bring something that two people can float in and paddle so you can take part in the always popular blindfolded dinghy race. We’ll have two races, one for Ranger Tug/Cutwater Boat branded dinghies and one for the “run what ya brung” class where almost anything that floats is allowed (as long as it’s safe).
