Everyone’s become familiar with the concept of remote working from home, but how about remoting from the boat? We’ve heard from our customers the benefits of working on the water and have even had new customers approach us with the intent of using the boat primarily for remote work! Whether working at the dock or even in a distant cove with cellular or satellite data, it’s possible to get the job done and have the amenities around you to do so comfortably.
Cutwater Boats provide numerous standard features across its line of boats to help get you cruising through your work. Stepping on board, it quickly becomes apparent the numerous workstations that can be made out of the space, such as dinette seating with 360-degree views of the water, converting the forward berth to a workspace with table and wraparound seating, cockpit seating next to the water, and command bridge seating on our larger boats for full views of the surrounding waterscape. Most of our boats have solar panels and all of our boats have inverters, oftentimes as standard equipment, and have convenient 110V and 12V outlets located around the salons, helms, and berths to ensure you’ll stay powered. Galleys – oftentimes with standard microwaves, stovetops, and ovens – can cook up quick snacks or full meals during breaks.
Keep your motivation pumped up and going with standard Fusion music systems or enter focus mode with only the sounds of water on the hull around you. Whatever you need in your workspace to get the most out of your day, remoting from the boat is more than feasible, it’s beneficial!
